Atheist, Humanist and Agnostic service members are away from their families risking death and injury, yet our government provides no one from their perspective to give them the support given to religious members of the military. While we provide Islamic chaplains for captured AlQaeada terrorists we do not yet provide specifically indentified non religious secular counselors for our non religious military personnel.
You can help by asking your elected officials to lobby for the development of these services and by asking President Bush to ensure that non religious service members and their families receive supportive services and counseling from people who share their humanist and nontheistic view of life.
